We are just over one of the hottest summers since the 1950s for best part of 3 months the temperatures have been 35 degrees with only 2 days of rain, but never-the-less the fishing has been hectic most of the time. The best catch would have to go to Tony Hawker family fishing with 2 rods a peace and still managed to land 2006lbs of carp plus a few cats, Whilst their biggest carp fell to Ben Hawker at 58lbs 6oz.

Looking back on the 2009 season, I cannot feel anything other than pleased as so many of our clients obtained there goals, whether is was just to relax and chill out or to set new PBs. I apologise to anyone who completely shattered their PBs here as their fishing will get harder to set another PB.

I started Carp France Fisheries back in 1999, my main aim was to start a low profile but high quality fishery which, judging by the amount of repeat trade we have had in the past 10 years due to happy clients, I feel pleased to say I have met my objectives as a fishery owner, but what a learning curve! I would like to say "thank you" to all our clients for all their support over the past ten years not forgetting Chris Yates the man who keeps fishing real. 2009 is not quite over yet but I am already excited with the thought that 2010's on its way!

My personal fish goals

It is hard to believe despite owning a fishery with two lakes full of big carp and cats my pb still stands at 49.3/4lbs and a bit pounds (due to not liking to fish when clients are here). So, come the next newsletter, I hope to claim to of landing a fifty pounder plus and not to forget the 1lbs plus roach providing the cats have not eaten them all yet!!
